URLs Gone Wild .net - Insane Prices for Web Site Hosting and Domain Name Registration

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Did I read the pricing right... Under a penny a domain a day for hosting?

A: Crazy as it seems, even downright insane, the basic reseller hosting package is just $24.95. This gives you a virtual hosting plan that can accommodate up to 100 separate domains or even more. That's right. UNLIMITED domain hosting at one small monthly price. But let's say you only host 100 domains. Doing the math, that's less than 25 cents a month for each domain when you have all 100 domains hosted or... ta-da... 1 cent per domain per month! If you are buying hosting for your own domains, you'll save a fortune. If you resell web hosting to others, you can make a fortune with any reasonable markup at all.

Q: Any suggestions on how to make money using the Reseller Hosting?

A: We use it ourselves for online marketing, including selling web hosting and domain names. The beauty of this account is that you can host as many domains as you want, each with their own separate email and control panel. It's like having all the separate hosting accounts you want in one really inexpensive place. You can give each of your affiliate programs its own web site and get visitor statistics for that program only. That's much easier than all mashed together on one huge website that becomes a maintenance nightmare.

Another way to make money is to build and sell small websites to local businesses, church groups, fund raising organizations, artists, crafts people, professionals, home based businesses and anyone else who doesn't have a lot of money but doesn't want one of those free sites with the weird addresses and all the advertising. As designer and webmaster, you can build simple sites that look good using software such as Microsoft Front Page, or templates you can buy for very little and then edit for your customer. With all the sites on a reseller account, you can charge very modest monthly update and hosting fees per customer and still make money. You can do the design and updates or simply charge for hosting. Each customer account gets its own Cpanel control panel where customers can upload files, get statistics, and set preferences.

Q: Can I Host Unsavory Content?

A: NO. And we mean NO. Wild Man runs a clean village, so check the terms and conditions when you place your order. Violators will have their accounts canceled immediately with no refunds. They may also face considerable wrath from the Chief.

Q: I Noticed that some services such as FTP and MySQL Databases are shown as unlimited for the reseller hosting plan. Is that really true?

A: Sure. Use all you need. Yes, we know that most "serious looking" web host companies consider databases to be like gold and either limit you to a handful, or charge you a hefty fee for adding more. Don't fall for that. Go wild with our reseller plan and give each of your domains the email, mailing lists, MySQL databases and FTP accounts that you need to get the job done.

Q: I really don't anticipate needing even 100 domains in my lifetime. Do you offer any smaller hosting packages?

A: You bet. The most basic plan is the Bronzel Hosting Plan. It lets you host up to a single domain in 50 Mbytes of storage and 5 Gbytes of transfer per month. Perfect for personal use or small organizations and businesses. It costs just $5.95 a month. What a bargain! There are hosting plans to meet everyone's needs and budget and you can upgrade at any time. View all the Hosting Plans Here.

Q: How fast will my account be set up?

A: Most accounts are set up instantly using an automatic ordering and provisioning process. In our case, we ordered our reseller account and a new domain name on a Friday night, built the initial site over the weekend, and were in business by Monday morning. The biggest delay is generally the up to 48 hour wait while the world wide domain name system (DNS) points to your domain so visitors can find it. Any new domains added will also need to propagate through about a gazillion domain name servers worldwide. That's true for ANY web hosting account anywhere.

Q: Where do I get a good deal on domain names to host on these accounts?

A: Glad you asked. It just so happens that we offer excellent pricing on domain names too. Would you believe only $9.75 a year for your .com, .net or .org domain name? If you want to transfer an existing name from another registration service, the cost is just $8.95. Other extensions are available too, but costs vary. View all the Domain Name Prices Here.

Q: That Wild Man on your front page scares me. Don't you have anybody that caters to the serious corporate types?

A: Naw. We ate them at the startup feast awhile ago. Just kidding. We like to poke fun at the staid world of high priced web hosting and domain name registration. But, to confess, we really don't operate our servers in a grass hut. These are top of the line web servers and routers hosted in a high security network operations center with continuous monitoring, backup power and multiple Internet backbones including optical carrier services. Our service provider is Hosting With Us and our domain name registration is provided by Domains With Us. You'll notice that the people pictured on these sites are wearing traditional corporate costumes.

Q: I still have questions before I'm ready to place my order. Will you help me?
